Conclusions and Recommendations

When we began this study, we were fairly sure that PGP would be sufficiently flexible and powerful to be used as a basis for JANET-wide secure email. After reviewing its capabilities, and especially, its limitations, we retain that view. Nonetheless, some substantial work needs to be done before convenient and secure email can be provided for the majority of JANET users.
